Fees Protection

Students need to complete an application to set up a Public Trust account preferably during their first week with the School. The School arranges fee protection by lodging the fees with Public Trust. Fees protected by the Public Trust are held in the Public Trust's Common Funds which has a capital guarantee from the New Zealand Government. Full fees are refundable up to 8 calendar days for domestic and 10 working days for international students after the course begins.

The New Zealand Government requires that all New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) registered private training establishments (education providers) must protect all student fees paid to them in advance. This means that in the unlikely event of the education provider closing before the completion of the student’s course, the remainder of the student fees will be protected. Fees protected within a Trust Account enables the student to have the choice to have remaining fees returned or have them paid directly to an alternative education provider.

Domestic Students

• Tuition fees, GST inclusive, are for one year of full-time study for a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident who qualifies for government funding.
• Fees listed here do not include the admin fee of NZ$230

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) programme can study multiple diplomas concurrently in specialist modalities such as tuina or Chinese herbal medicine, by completing the core courses of the chosen diplomas. Please note that there is a limitation on student loan borrowing and workload per student per year.

Discounted tuition fees for our Bachelor degree students also studying a diploma concurrently is: $2,300/ year per diploma course. Example: Bachelor + Tuina = $9,311 + $2,300.

International Students

Example: Bachelor + Tuina = 18,000 + 6,400.

Methods of Payment

Direct deposit

• Deposit your tuition fees into the following Public Trust account: BNZ: 020536 0305865 01
• Be sure to include NZSATCM’s identifier number: 6702309 and your name as the depositor, or call us on 04 473 9005 to make arrangements

Bank transfer (international student)

• This service is for international students and may be subject to bank fees
• Arrange with your bank to transfer your tuition fees into the Public Trust account which must start with the swift number: BK NZ NZ 22, followed by BNZ: 020536 0305865 01, then NZSATCM’s identifier number: 6702309 and your name as the depositor

Course-related costs

• The costs of textbooks and equipment are approximately NZ$1,200 per year.
• A list of textbooks, required equipment and possible suppliers, accompanies the letter of acceptance. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange purchase of these items.
• Tuition fees do not cover optional extras such as student ID cards, private clinic placements, overseas hospital experience, or language classes if required.
