Transition Information for NZSATCM Graduates
The information below will help you through the required paperwork to register your transition application.
You must contact admin to obtain a Registration Pak or join the Graduates Association (ePortal tab) and with your
username and password, login to the graduates private area and download the Registration Pak.
Your Registration Pak includes:
- This transition cover sheet- p1
- RPL/RCC application Form p2
- Enrollment application Form p3-5
- IT information and signature Forms- p6-11
The necessary steps for an acupuncture diploma graduate of NZSA to enroll to transition the BHSc- Acupuncture degree is outlined below.
You have been divided into three groups:
- Pre-2005 acupuncture diploma graduates who trained four years
- Post-2005 acupuncture diploma graduates who trained four years
- Three year NDA graduates
To obtain the BHSc-Acupuncture, acupuncture diploma, graduates only neeed to complete two research papers.
Pre-2005
No acupuncture diploma graduates prior to 2005 did an independent Research Project (IRP). If you are a pre-2005 graduate this means you must complete the two research papers required. All other requirements have already been met by you. All you have to do is complete and return the RPL/RCC, enrollment, IT information and signature forms to the school. We will process the forms and post a letter out to you.
Post-2005
From 2005 all four year acupuncture diploma graduates completed an independent Research Project (IRP). This research project will be accepted in lieu of the first research paper. If you are a post-2005 graduate this means you must complete only the second of the two research papers required. All other requirements have already been met by you. All you have to do is complete and return the RPL/RCC, enrollment, IT information and signature forms to the school. We will process the forms and post a letter out to you.
Three year NDA
For some graduates with the three-year NDA, look carefully at the work you completed. Some of you studied for four years completing everything but the IRP. This means:
- You should complete the pre-2005 information above.
Graduates who only completed the NDA of three years must:
- enroll in year four of the BHSc- Acupuncture degree and complete all requirements
Please note, the two research papers are:
- Bsc-RES-401a: Research Methods I: Reseach Principles and Processes
- Bsc-RES-401b: Research Methods II: Reseach Methodologies
Each of these papers takes one semester to complete in an online environment (distance learning) which does not require onsite attendance.
